“My photographs center on the irony of perfectionism, sacrifice for art, and the hidden journey to beauty that no one sees. The light of the stage has always been my passion and yet my photographs aim to tie in both mediums that I treasure, photography and dance. Following a quote I live by, “I dance because I wish to feel. I photograph because I wish to remember,” my goal is to use the power of photography to tell my story of dance through my heart, from melancholy themes to irreplaceable moments of passion. With aspects of sadness, the impossible reach of perfectionism and the joyful aspects of the many different movements of dance, I hope my photography touches people’s hearts while also sharing the beauty and light of ballroom dancing."
